Automatic move sequencing in XPS

The following table describes the automatic move sequences XPS can assign. You can assign these sequences from the Cranes list in the vessel profile view. See also Automatically sequencing work queues (on page 1).

Sequence

Description

Sequence Dis & Load Aft -> Fwd

Assigns work queues to the selected cranes starting at the aft portion of each split and working forward.

Sequence Dis & Load Fwd -> Aft

Starts forward and works aft.

Sequence All Dis Before Load Aft -> Fwd

Assigns the same work queue to each crane. All Discharge work queues come before all Load work queues starting at the aft portion of each split and working forward.

Sequence All Dis Before Load Fwd -> Aft

Starts forward and works aft.

Sequence Dis Aft->Fwd, Load Fwd->Aft

Assigns the same work queue to each crane. All Discharge work queues come before all Load work queues. The Discharge work queue is from aft to forward, and the Load section for each crane is from forward to aft.

Sequence Dis Fwd->Aft, Load Aft->Fwd

Assigns the same work queue to each cranes. All Discharge work queues come before all Load work queues. The Discharge work queue is from forward to aft, and the Load section for each crane is from aft to forward.

When you assign an auto-sequence, the default bay sequence is to discharge above deck, discharge below deck, then load below deck and load above deck.

For example, the following figure shows a group of bays above and below deck. If you select Sequence Dis & Load Fwd -> Aft, XPS auto-sequences these bays (9 and 11 above and 10 below) in the following order:

  1. Discharge 09 above deck.

  1. Discharge 11 above deck.

  2. Discharge 10 below deck.

  3. Load 10 below deck.

  4. Load 9 above deck.

  5. Load 11 above deck.
